Amos T. Stroud, Jr.

                    Amos T. Stroud, Jr., 84, began his walk with his Lord, March  10,2018. He was a retired principal of White Oak High School and a member of the Tabernacle United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos T. and Sallie Harper Stroud and his wife Susan Brown Stroud.

                 Surviving are his children, Steve Stroud and wife Amy Koonce Stroud of New Bern; Nancy “Nan” Stroud of Maysville and Angie Manning of Jacksonville; his grandchildren; Lara Kristen Dick , Maggie Susan Stroud, Sally Stroud McMurry, Emily Ruth Manning, Rebecca Anne Manning and Lawton Grey Manning; his great grandchildren; Claire Elizabeth Dick, Irene Kristen Dick, Mary Martha Dick and Leah Cameron McMurry and his sister Shelby Stroud Teal of Raleigh and special friend ,Jewel Oliver Hatlestad of Jacksonville.

                Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at the Tabernacle United Methodist Church with the Rev. Greg Meadows and Rev. Stephanie Croom officiating. Private burial will be in the Dogwood Memorial Cemetery in Maysville. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7PM at the Sayland Funeral Home in Maysville.
