Arthur “Bud” Thomas Jarman, 71 , went to sleep and woke up in heaven on April 12, 2017. Bud was a quiet and simple man devoted to his late wife Clara Ann Collins Jarman ; his church and his friends. He was determined, dedicated and dependable. He worked at Circle J in Pollocksville for 17 years and then worked for the Town of Maysville until his retirement. After he retired he liked hanging out every morning with the gang at Hardee’s and helping Chris at Maysville Tire. Bud also was a funeral assistant at Sayland Funeral Home for over 35 years. He was a member of the Maysville United Methodist Church where he served on various committees ; United Methodist Men and was the treasurer for 43 years. Bud loved the UNC Tar Heels basketball team especially when they beat Duke. Funeral services will be held Friday at 7:00PM at the Maysville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Neal Salter officiating. Visitation will be in the church fellowship hall beginning at 6:00PM. Private committal services will be held in the Dogwood Memorial Cemetery on Saturday. Surviving are his siblings; Tiny Sims ; Virginia Taylor and Joe Jarman of Maysville; Frances Campbell of Hubert ; Alice Banks of Comfort and numerous nieces and nephews.
