David James McKay,78, passed away Feb. 13, 2018 at the NC State Veterans Home in Kinston. He was retired from New York State Electric & Gas and was a Army veteran.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday March 3 at 11:00AM at the Infant of Prague Catholic Church in Jacksonville.

Surviving are his wife Catherine Philipps McKay; his daughter, Colleen Stiffler of Jacksonville; his son, Scott McKay of Hubert; a sister Janet Emerich of Ft. Myers, FL; his grandchildren, David B. McKay, Kaitlin Stiffler , and Dani Woolard ; his great grandchildren, Kianna Stiffler, Riley Woolard and Skylar Woolard. He was predeceased by his grandson, Jeffery Stiffler.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to NC State Veterans Home 2150 Hull Rd Kinston, NC 28504. Online condolences may be sent to saylandfuneralhome.com Services entrusted to Sayland Funeral Home in Maysville.
