Eric Ryan Wetherington

Eric Ryan Wetherington, 35, of Stella received his angel’s wings Wednesday, February 14th, 2018.

Eric was born in New Bern, NC on September 28th, 1982 and graduated from Swansboro High School in 2001. He has since worked in the family logging business. Eric was a devoted son and brother. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, skiing and being outdoorswith his family. He was a gifted and artistic craftsman, and was passionate about everyday life.He loved being on the water and was passionate about his boats. He loved his family and cared deeply for all those around him.

Survivors include his parents, Jon and JanetWetherington, his brothers, Justin and Brandon Wetherington; his paternal grandfather Walter Bell Wetherington; aunts and uncles, Jo and David Mohn of Stella, Jan and Mike Buckmaster of Wake Forest, Barry and Nancy Brittof Mt. Juliet, TN, Gregory and Carrie Britt of Maysville, Gail and James Gouty of Ashboro, and Rita Britt of Maysville; Cousins, Adam Mohn, Kacy Sales, Ethan and Jarrod Gouty, Stacy Yates, Brian and Mark Buckmaster, Jason and Austin Britt, Stephanie Pugh, Jillian Palier, Denise Frenier, Gina Kirk, and Garrett Britt; pre-deceased by his paternal grandmother Dora Bell Wetherington and maternal grandparents Robert and Maxine Britt.

A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, February 18that 2 PM at Midway United Methodist Church.

He will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved him.
