Jimmy Lee Godwin, 81, passed away April 5 at his home. Jimmy was retired from the US Navy and the United States Postal Service. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Saturday April 14 at the Godwin Family Cemetery, Bridgeview Lane in Stella, NC. Surviving are his wife , Betty Jean Casey Godwin of Hertford ; sons, Jimmy Lee Godwin II of Aylett, VA; Donald James Godwin of Jacksonville , John Michael Godwin of Elizabeth City; his sisters, Bessie Morse of Stella and Myrtle Wade of Bryant, AL; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Arrangements by Sayland Funeral Home in Maysville, NC.
