Shelby Wells Obituary

Shelby Louise Mallard Wells, 74, of Maysville, passed away at her home on Feb.24, 2024. Shelby was a retired teacher’s assistant from Hunters Creek Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her parents Linnell Hardy Mallard and Maxine Valencia Maness Mallard, her husband, Walter Wells; her grandson, Nathan Polk and her brother, Clifton Mallard.

She is survived by her daughter, Valencia Mobley of Jacksonville; her son, David Wells of New Bern; her brother, Steven Mallard of Maysville; her best friend, Mary Ledlow of Maysville and her two grandchildren, Natalie Schmidt and her husband John Michael Schmidt, Jr. and Brody Wells and her two great grandchildren, Olivia Grace Schmidt and Emmalee Nicole Polk.
