Dixie Bray Cotton, 88, pass away Oct.5 2018 in Wilmington. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nettie Jones Bray; her husband ,Bill Cotton and her sister Danmie Collins.
She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Elmore and husband, Pete of Canyon Country , CA and 3 grandchildren; Ryan, Jason and Sean; daughter, Sandra Cotton and partner , Jim Spencer of Wilmington; Bray Toot of Garner , who was like an adoptive son; sister , Mary Rowe of Pollocksville; brother , William “Jack” Bray and wife, Iva Lee of Pollocksville; sister in law, Jean Stephenson and husband Billy of Kenansville and Jean Futrell and husband Fred of La Grange; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the Sayland Funeral Home in Maysville. Funeral will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Harris officiating. Burial will be private in the Dogwood Memorial Cemetery in Maysville.
Special thanks to the James Jones family, Patricia Banks, Ingrid Taylor and the Lula Mae Riggs family. Dixie was head strong, loved her NC State Wolfpack sports and many pets.
