Esley Hargett Jones, 85, died May 1 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. He was a Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a Mason and a retired machinist. He was predeceased by his son Stephen Mark Jones.

              Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Maysville. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow in the Dogwood Memorial Cemetery in Maysville. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8:00 PM at the Sayland Funeral Home in Maysville.

               Surviving are his wife, Grace Arthur Jones; children, Brad Jones of Raleigh; Darren Jones of Phoenix, AZ and Kimberly Kennedy of Washington, NC; siblings, Gerald Jones of Maysville  and Betty Creech and Dorothy Mallard of New Bern ; five grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren
