Eugene William Adams

Eugene William Adams, 78, of Maysville, NC went to his heavenly home on Friday, February 2nd, 2018.  He is survived by his sister, Nancy Doss of Jacksonville;  his brothers, David Adams of Harkers Island and Ronnie Adams of Wilmington;  his daughters , Donna Adams and Chase Rivers of Maysville and Tammy Davis and her husband Tommy of Jacksonville;  his son, Matthew Adams and his wife June of Tifton, Georgia;  grandchildren, Jonathan Morton and wife Mandi;  Andrea Horne and husband, Brandon;  Kelly Warren and husband John;  Jason Davis and fiancé Rachael Parrish;  Ray and Aki Adams;  and great-grandchildren, Sarah Morton, Brody Horne, Landon Warren, and two great-granddaughters on the way.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Grace and his parents Claude and Clydie Adams.

Eugene was a lifetime and dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Maysville, where he devoted countless hours as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and served in many other capacities.  His love for the Lord flowed into every part of his life and he touched many lives.  He was a true example of a Godly husband, father, son, brother, Papa and friend.  He will be greatly missed by all.

A special thank you to his longtime caregiver, Kristy Adkins and her sister Stephanie.  Also, thank you to the many other caregivers who helped us over the years.

Visitation will be held from 6:30-8:30 PM Monday, February 5th at the First Baptist of Maysville, NC and funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 6th at the church with entombment following at Onslow Memorial Park in Jacksonville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 208, Maysville, NC  28555.
