Rachel (Britt) Morton

Stella, NC

         Rachel Britt Morton, 84 passed away peacefully after a long illness on March 17.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William Percy Morton; her father, Andy Britt; her mother, Hazel Britt and her twin sister, Ruth Wade.

        Rachel is survived by her sons, William “Steve” Morton and wife, June of Stella and Vince Alan Morton of Fayetteville; her granddaughter, Krystal Bennett of Stella; her grandson, Hewitt Morton of Raleigh ; her sisters, Lois House of Hagerstown, IN; Shirley Bell of Pollocksville, NC ; Bernice Price of Mt. Gilead, NC; and Loretta Smith of Biscoe, NC ; her brothers , Earl Britt of Mt. Gilead, NC, Larry Britt of Salisbury, NC ; Eugene Britt of Troy, NC and Jeffery Britt of Mt Gilead, NC.

        Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Friday at the Midway United Methodist Church in Stella with the Rev. Jim Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8:00 PM at the Sayland Funeral Home in Maysville. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Midway United Methodist Church P.O.
