Annette (Macy) Bell

Annette Macy Bell, 84, of Pollocksville, passed away, peacefully at her home on May 12, 2022. She was born a resident of Jonesville, NC, but called Pollocksville “HOME” for over 60 years. She was the “unofficial” informant of Pollocksville until she suffered a massive stroke in June 2013. She was the one that knew all the happenings around town and everyone knew exactly who to call for the latest and greatest whether she was at Bell’s Service Station or at home – she always knew everything! She loved going out dancing with her soulmate, playing BINGO any chance she had and was obsessed with Elvis!. Though she was quick to speak her mind, she loved everyone and was glad to hug your neck every chance possible. Even in her last few hours of life, she would tell you she loved you and reach out for a hug. She will be missed, but a lot of her traits were passed down to her son, grandchildren, especially Brandi, and her great grandchildren. The two strongest traits passed down were confidence and independence. She definitely enjoyed making people smile, either in costumes and themes for Pollocksville Fun Day or goodie bags for all the trick-or-treaters on Halloween.

Annette was preceded in death by her husband and soulmate, George Bell. She is survived by her son, Darrell Bell and wife Vickie; two grandchildren, Derreck Bell and wife, Alicia, and Brandi Bell Caswell and husband, Mike; 4 great-grandchildren, Reece Caswell, Noah Bell, Sadie Bell and Parker Bell; her two sisters, Carolyn Waters and Patricia Hutchens ; a very special nephew, Douglas Cumbo, and many other nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to celebrate her life at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 15, 2022 at the graveside service in the Pollocksville Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pollocksville Volunteer Fire Department P.O.
