Cheryl Denise Humphrey Goodspeed, age 52, of Jacksonville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 21, 2024, with loved ones by her side.
Services for our precious Cheryl will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024, at White Oak Community Church, 6181 New Bern Hwy, Maysville, NC 28555, with a visitation for the family from 11am-12pm and a Celebration of her life to follow at 12:00pm with Pastor Bobby Williams officiating.
Cheryl was born in Onslow County on July 13, 1971, to the late Doug Humphrey and Suzanne Lassiter. She was a kind and loving person; she will be greatly missed.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Doug Humphrey, her Paternal Grandparents, Eddie Lee Humphrey and Rosalee Kinsey Humphrey, her Maternal Grandparents, Charles R Lassiter and Louise Criswell Lassiter.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Goodspeed, the love of her life; a stepson, Madison Johns of Jacksonville; her loving mother Suzanne Lassiter Fussell (Buddy) of Wilmington; two sisters, Jodie Humphrey Florian (Paul) and Amy Humphrey Carroway both of Jacksonville; one brother Eddie Humphrey (Amanda) of Hubert; three nieces, Bethany Burns (Chris), Taylor Carroway, and Kayla Humphrey; three nephews, Hunter Pridgen (Raegan), Parker Carroway, and Ethan Florian (Fran) and one great niece Brinlee Burns.
Our Cheryl was the sweetest, loving and caring wife, daughter, sister, and Aunt. We remember Cheryl for her genuine, selfless love for her family, friends and community.
