Crystal "Crys" Gail Watson

Crystal “Crys” Gail Watson, 46, passed away on March 7, 2021 at her home in Hubert, NC surrounded by family and friends. Crys was a bright spirit that touched everyone she met. From her days at Muscular Dystrophy Camp up to her passing, Crys had an infectious smile and way about her that just made the day brighter. Crys made friends everywhere she went and maintained many of those friendships throughout her life. She even made friends of the nursing aides, nurses, and doctors that helped care for her over the years. Crys loved to spend her days talking, listening to music, and watching horror movies. She was quick to laugh and loved with all her heart. Crys was a huge animal lover and would have had her own personal zoo if possible. Crys passed on a beautiful Sunday afternoon with the setting sun streaming in the window behind her head surrounded by loving family, lifetime friends, and her faithful dog Penny.There are many special people that helped care for Crys that need to be mentioned. Her team of Intellichoice Home Care nurses provided Crys with much care, comfort, and friendship and they include Megan, Aja, Chelsea, Shelby, Cassidy, and Hannah. She was also blessed with a dear friend and roommate, Donna, that was by her side faithfully during the last year. Crys was met at Heaven’s gate by her mom (Sara), grandma (Virginia),older brother (Roger), grandma (Dorothy), granddaddy (Jack), granddaddy (Zinnie), and her close friend John. She is survived by her sister (Jennifer) and her husband (Dean), niece (Ashley) and her husband (Cooper), nephew (Ryan) and his wife (Missy) and their children (Mackenna and Dolin), nephew (Bryce), aunt (Wanda) and her husband (Verl), aunt (Jackie) and special cousin (Zoe), aunt (Cil) and her husband (David), uncle (Chris) and his wife (Freida), uncle (Hubert), and many cousins and loving friends.

The Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 3:00 pm at Sayland Funeral Home in Maysville, NC.

Instead of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to your local animal shelter or the ASPCA in Crys’s name since she was such an avid animal lover.
