Dolores May Hamrick, 86, passed away Saturday January 7, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. Dolores was born in Kansas City, Missouri on April 29, 1936 to Anna Lee Westlake Angel and James Millard Angel. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was in the Marine Corps from 1954-1957. Dolores loved to knit and her family members have many treasures that she knitted for them over the decades. She was an expert in canning food, especially jams and jellies. She won more than 50 blue ribbons at the county and state levels. Later in life she became a stained-glass artist and made beautiful stained-glass pieces for her family. Dolores was always doing for others, she volunteered for so many organizations.
Dolores is survived by her husband of 64 years, Phillip Andrew Hamrick, her daughter Susan Marie Hamrick of Hamilton, Montana; her sons, Jim Hamrick of Swansboro and Thomas Andrew Hamrick of Raleigh. Also surviving are her siblings; Thomas Robert Angel of San Diego, CA; William Lee Angel of Schaumburg, IL; John Edward Angel of Warrensburg, MO; David James Angel and Richard Charles Angel of Kansas City, MO; Mary Ellen Jones of Leftridge, KS and Judith Anne Miller of Houston, TX.; her eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
