Hazel (Morton) Horne

Lillie Hazel Morton Horne, 93, passed away June 9, 2020 at the Lighthouse Village Nursing Home in Jacksonville. She was the cafeteria manager for 26 years at the old Tabernacle School. She was preceded in death by her parents, Haywood B. Morton and Lillie Meadows Morton; her husband, Rev. Herbert Horne; her son Ronald Herbert Horne; her brothers, Colon, Haywood B. Jr., and Johnny.

Services were held June 12 at the Sayland Funeral Home with her neighbor and friend, Tom Chavis officiating. Private burial was in the Morton Family Cemetery.

Surviving are her grandson, Greg Horne of Maysville; her great grandchildren, Alex and Hazel Horne and her sister Eleanor “Frankie” Wetherington of Stella.
