Jake Ledlow , Jr.; 83, or Papa as most called him, passed away peacefully on the early morning hours of Nov. 11, 2021 with his loving wife Mary and granddaughter, Frances by his side. Papa’s legacy will always be one of servant leadership, pranks pulled, laughter and love for God, his family and his community. He was a Marine veteran and an active member of the Maysville United Methodist Church. Jake had served several years on the Maysville Town Board. Jake retired from the maintenance department of Onslow Memorial Hospital and later worked in the Jones County School System maintenance department. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ledlow; his daughters, Tammy Banther of High Point, Teresa Holsopple of Pollocksville; Michelle Greaser of Fuquay- Varina ; and Elizabeth Stevens of Lexington ; his brother, Alton Ledlow of Athens, AL ;his grandchildren and great grandchildren; Frances Turner and her children, Abigail and Killian of Richlands; David Banther and his son, Daniel of High Point; Ryan Holsopple and his sons, Peyton and Parker of Trent Woods; Janet Alford of Mooresville; Jonas Greaser and his son, Jackson of Angier; Jennifer Greaser and daughter Emma of Broadway; Dalise Thompson of Lexington; Cassandra Stevens of Lexington and Jonathan Stevens of Raleigh.. The family will celebrate his life privately. Arrangements by Sayland Funeral Home in Maysville.
