John Rodney Kmaras Maysville, NC John Rodney Kmaras, 77, passed away at the Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport April 26, 2020. He was a native of Massachusetts; a Marine Corps veteran; a former math teacher at Newport Elementary and retired building contractor of his own business, Kmaras Construction. He was a member of Triune Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Lavinia Kmaras and his first wife, Kay. Private services will be held. Surviving are his wife, Edie Kmaras ; his son, Mike Kmaras of Emerald Isle ; his sister, Nancy Zaya and her husband Bob of Stoneham , MA ; two nephews, Chris and John and a niece Allison and her husband, Joey and their son Vincent. Arrangements by Sayland Funeral Home in Maysville.
