Rudolph Winford Humphrey

Rudolph Winford Humphrey passed away peacefully on July 26,2022 at his home one day after his 73rd birthday. He was retired from C. W. Matthews Construction.  Before building highways he was also a farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest W. Humphrey and Lucy Jenkins Humphrey and his sisters, Shirley Hilsinger and Ernestine Hill. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Linda Collins Humphrey; his daughter, Valerie Jones and her husband Brad of Raleigh; his son, Daryl Humphrey and his wife Jessica of Maysville; his sisters, Jean Sanders of Maysville and Linda Harrison of Trenton and his grandchildren, Hunter Jones, Logan Jones, Nicholas Humphrey, Madison Humphrey and Ty Humphrey. . A visitation will be held Friday July 29 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Sayland Funeral Home in Maysville. A private inurnment will be in the Humphrey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider donations the CarolinaEast Heart Center or St. Jude's Children Hospital.
